CHRIS DEL MORO - Artist Bio
Since a young age I have found infinite pleasure in expressing myself through creative projects. I was raised between two differing cultures
and the best way to tell my story has always been through art. I have always lived in my own fantasyland, a land where cultures, textures, stories and
life's various emotions inspire my passion to create new artistic endeavors.
I have never taken an art class. Instead, I have doodled and journaled my way to becoming a better craftsman. Through the years I have focused on working
in many mediums, such as ceramics, woodblock prints, painting, woodwork, sewing and clothing design. My main source of inspiration comes from my connection
from my surrounding environments and from the many amazingly creative people on planet earth. I have always tried to create pieces of art that aim to provoke
emotions of peace and love.

Since the age of 14, my journal doodles turn into a source of income and have turned my dreams into reality. I have shown in various art shows
around the world, started my own clothing/art project (Collectic Apparel) at 21 and have continue to work as a freelance designer for companies such as Honolua,
Mature wetsuits, Surfing/Surfing Magazine and many more. Working as an artist/clothing designer has always been my dream and gives me a deep level of satisfaction
that I believe will carry me through a long and healthy life. |
