Though the wind wasn’t blowing wild out of control as we had hoped, the first stop of the California Downwind Race series was a major success! With a total of almost 175 competitors the race course was jam packed with all sorts craft. The SUP, Paddle, OC-1, and Surf Ski crews battled it out in the calm water under the blazing sun on Saturday afternoon. Whether you were first to the beach or the last everyone was stoked to have made the 9 mile jaunt down the coast and an amazingly beautiful day.
